This role would suit a confident practitioner with strong experience in further education, teacher education, assessment, feedback, and supporting trainee teachers to develop reflective and inclusive practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging online teaching and support sessions.
- Assess learner assignments against qualification criteria.
- Provide clear, developmental written feedback.
- Support learners with professional reflection and evidence development.
- Conduct or support teaching observations where required.
- Maintain accurate assessment and learner records.
- Work collaboratively with the Quality Lead and IQA team.
Person specification
Essential Requirements
- Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above, such as AET, DET, Cert Ed, PGCE, or equivalent.
- Assessor qualification, such as CAVA, TAQA, A1, or equivalent.
- Leadership qualification, such as ILM, CMI at level 5 or equivalent.
- Experience teaching and assessing within further education, adult learning, or skills provision.
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching, assessment, feedback, and reflective practice.
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
- Confident using online learning platforms and digital systems.
Desirable
- Experience delivering or assessing leadership qualifications.
- Experience supporting trainee teachers or early career practitioners.
- Knowledge of current FE and Skills sector expectations.
- IQA qualification or quality assurance experience.
