What counts as required training?+
Anything you set: WorkplaceHero courses, in-house sessions or external certificates. Give each one a renewal period, guidance and a policy link, then assign it to the job roles that need it.
How is compliance worked out?+
Status is calculated live from completion dates and renewal periods every time you open the matrix, so it never drifts out of date.
Can staff mark training as done themselves?+
Staff can submit a completion with evidence, but it only counts once a manager verifies it. Self-reports are never treated as evidence on their own.
Do new starters inherit the right training?+
Yes. Requirements are linked to job roles, so anyone given a role picks up its training and due dates automatically.
Which plan includes the training matrix?+
Compliance tracking is part of every paid Passport for Teams plan, starting with Essentials at £2 per person a month plus VAT. Free workspaces are for course training only.
