Job TitleAI in Education Tutor / Assessor (Level 3 RQF)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Educator and Assessor to deliver the Focus Awards Level 3 Award in Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Education (RQF). You will guide learners—primarily teachers, tutors, and teaching assistants—through the 4 mandatory units of the qualification. Your objective is to build their understanding of AI applications, ensure compliance with Ofqual standards, and assess their Portfolios of Evidence to determine competency.

Key Responsibilities
Course Delivery: Facilitate lessons (online, blended, or classroom-based) covering the four mandatory units: Foundations of AI in Education, Practical Applications of AI in Education, The Future of AI in Education, and AI Use Malpractice in Education.

Practical Training: Guide learners in hands-on tasks, including creating AI-enhanced lesson plans, personalising learning experiences, and managing data privacy.

Portfolio Assessment: Review and assess student coursework against the Focus Awards assessment criteria, ensuring all evidence meets Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) requirements.

Academic Integrity Guidance: Teach educators how to identify algorithmic bias, prevent academic malpractice, and effectively detect inappropriate AI usage (such as plagiarism).

Learner Support: Provide high-quality feedback and tutorial support to adult learners returning to education or upskilling while working.

Quality Assurance: Maintain accurate learner tracking records and participate in Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) audits to safeguard centre accreditation.

Requirements & Qualifications
Teaching Qualification: A recognised UK teaching qualification, such as the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET/PTLLS), CertEd, or PGCE.

Assessing Qualification: A valid assessor qualification, such as CAVA, TAQA, A1, or the Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment.

Subject Matter Competency: Demonstrable knowledge of educational technology, including generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot), prompt engineering for educators, and data privacy legislation.

Sector Experience: A background working within UK further education, schools, or independent training providers.
