The type of personal information we collect
We currently collect and process the following information:
- First name
- Last name
- Email address
- Address
- Phone number
- Date of birth
This data is provided to us by you at the point of registering for our mailing list, enrolling on one of our courses, through Thinkific or by completing a form on our website.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting us via our contact page.
(b) We have a contractual obligation.
(c) We have a legal obligation.
(d) We have a vital interest.
(e) We need it to perform a public task.
f) We have a legitimate interest.
How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored in a European server hosted by HubSpot. We will keep your details for as long as you continue to engage with our content. Your details will be removed from our database on the two-year anniversary of you no longer engaging with our content via email. We define 'no longer engaging' as opening our email content.
Your data protection rights
Under data protection law, you have rights including:
- Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
- Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
- Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
- Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
- Your right to object to processing - You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
- Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.

Sharing your data with the Chartered Management Institute
As part of our obligations to the Chartered Management Institute, we are required to share your personal data with them to register you for one of their qualifications. Please read and ensure you agree to the CMI Privacy and Data Policy.

WorkplaceHero Training Terms and Conditions
By booking a training program with WorkplaceHero, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Booking Confirmation:
- A booking is considered confirmed once payment has been successfully processed.
- Confirmation details, including program specifics and schedule, will be provided upon successful registration.
Payment:
- Full payment is required to secure your place in the training program.
- Payment can be made through the provided online payment gateway.
Cancellation and Rescheduling:
- Cancellations must be made in writing and sent to hello@workplacehero.co.uk at least 30 days before the scheduled training program.
- WorkplaceHero reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a training program due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, participants will be notified, and alternative arrangements will be offered.
No Refund Policy:
- Once a booking is confirmed and payment is processed, no refunds will be provided.
- This no-refund policy applies to all circumstances, including participant cancellations or non-attendance.
- This no-refund policy applies to all CMI Bitesize courses booked through WorkplaceHero.
Substitutions:
- Participants may request to substitute another individual to attend the training on their behalf. Requests must be submitted in writing and approved by WorkplaceHero.
Intellectual Property:
- All training materials, content, and intellectual property provided during the training program are the exclusive property of WorkplaceHero. Participants agree not to reproduce, distribute, or share these materials without explicit written consent.
Code of Conduct:
- Participants are expected to adhere to a professional code of conduct throughout the training program. WorkplaceHero reserves the right to remove any participant who engages in disruptive or inappropriate behavior, with no refund provided.
Liability:
- WorkplaceHero is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by participants during the training program.
Changes to Terms and Conditions:
- WorkplaceHero reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Participants will be notified of any changes.
By booking a training program with WorkplaceHero, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
