WorkplaceHero – Terms and Conditions

Last updated: August 2025

Welcome to WorkplaceHero! We’re not your typical consultancy – we’re here to support you with smart solutions, delivered with a personal touch. These Terms and Conditions are here to keep everything clear, fair, and friendly. If anything’s unclear, just ask – we’re always happy to help.

1. Who We Work With

We support individuals and organisations through consultancy, leadership development, CPD, Skills Bootcamps, training courses, and digital learning products such as eBooks and toolkits. These Terms apply across all our services – from one-off downloads to multi-month transformation projects.

2. Consultancy and Bespoke Services

When you engage us for consultancy or a bespoke programme, we’ll agree a clear Service Level Agreement (SLA). This sets out your project scope, key milestones, deliverables, and the way we’ll work together.
We pride ourselves on responsiveness and clarity, so if anything changes along the way, we’ll collaborate on the solution. Our goal is impact with ease – not red tape.

3. Training Courses and Programmes

When you book a training course, bootcamp, or CPD workshop:

  • Eligibility: You’re responsible for ensuring you (or your participants) meet any entry requirements stated.

  • Booking: A place is secured once payment (or the first instalment of an agreed plan) is received.

  • Consumer rights: If you book as an individual online or by phone, you have a statutory 14-day cooling-off period to cancel and receive a full refund, provided the course hasn’t started. If the course begins within that period, you agree that your right to cancel ends once delivery or access to materials has started.

  • Cancellations after this period: Fees are non-refundable. At our discretion, we may allow transfers to a future date or a substitute participant.

4. Digital Products

We offer downloadable eBooks, toolkits and learning resources. Because these are digital and immediately accessible, all sales are final and non-refundable. We include detailed descriptions to help you buy with confidence – and we’re happy to answer questions if you’re unsure.

5. Pricing and VAT

We aim to be totally transparent with pricing:

  • Digital products: Prices are typically inclusive of VAT, and this will be stated at checkout.

  • Consultancy, training, and project work: Prices are quoted exclusive of VAT, which will be added to invoices where applicable.
If you ever need a breakdown or clarification, just ask – we’re big believers in no surprises.

6. Payment Terms

  • Digital products: Payment is taken upfront.

  • Consultancy and project work: 14-day payment terms unless otherwise agreed in your SLA.

  • Longer programmes: Staged instalments may apply.
If there’s ever an issue, we’d rather have a conversation than charge late fees—but in line with UK law, we do reserve the right to apply interest for overdue invoices.

7. Cancellations and Changes

  • Consultancy & Programmes: Your SLA will set out cancellation terms—we aim to be flexible while protecting our team’s time.

  • Workshops or Events: Cancellations more than 7 days out may be eligible for a refund or transfer. Within 7 days, fees are typically non-refundable, but we’ll always be fair.

  • Force Majeure: We are not liable for cancellations caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g. illness, technical failure, strikes, or other unforeseen events).

8. Student Conduct and Participation

We expect all students to engage respectfully and professionally. We do not tolerate disruptive, abusive, or discriminatory behaviour. We reserve the right to remove students without refund where conduct falls short of these expectations.

9. Assessments and Certification

Some courses require attendance, participation, or assessments to achieve certification. We’ll make this clear upfront.

  • It is your responsibility to meet those requirements.

  • We cannot guarantee that every student will achieve certification.

  • Certificates are issued only once all course requirements (including payment) are met.

10. Intellectual Property

All materials we create—whether reports, digital downloads, or workshop slides—remain the intellectual property of WorkplaceHero Ltd unless otherwise agreed. You’re welcome to use them for personal or internal organisational purposes, but please don’t reproduce, resell, or redistribute without permission.

11. Confidentiality

We treat everything you share with us in the strictest confidence—and expect the same in return for anything we share with you. It’s a two-way street built on trust.

12. Feedback & Continuous Improvement

We genuinely welcome feedback. Whether it’s a rave review or a constructive nudge, it helps us grow and improve. Don’t be shy – your experience matters.

13. Liability

  • Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any rights you have under consumer law.

  • Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the service or course.

  • We are not liable for indirect losses such as loss of income, business opportunity, or data.

14. Data Protection

We process personal data in line with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy (available on our website). By enrolling or purchasing, you consent to us holding and processing your data to deliver services.

15. Legal Bits

WorkplaceHero Ltd is registered in the UK. These Terms are governed by English law and subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.

16. Let’s Stay Human

We work with integrity, kindness, and a genuine desire to make things better. We don’t tolerate discrimination, harassment, or any behaviour that contradicts these values—in any form.
