Passport for accountants and finance professionals

Your accounting CPD.
Not just at year end.

The standards update that changed a client conversation. The ethics question you thought hard about. Keep your learning in a free personal Passport that moves with you from practice to industry.

Next: finish creating your account. Your email is carried through. Marketing updates are optional.

Find your CPD rhythm

Free personal CPD log. No card. No trial. Your record, not your employer's.

Learning happens through the year

See your working year in your CPD.

Busy season leaves little time for logging. Capture learning as it happens, so there is less to pull together for your year-end declaration.

On a client file

A standard applied for the first time

Working through a new reporting requirement teaches you more than the webinar did. Keep the learning, not client details.

“What will I check sooner next time?”

Facing an ethics question

A judgement call worth recording

A potential conflict of interest is worth reflecting on, and ethics CPD often matters to your body.

“What principle guided my decision?”

In industry

Learning beyond the textbook

Leading a systems change or coaching a junior is development too. Record what it taught you.

“How did this build my competence?”

Illustrative learning situations, not customer stories. Keep client and colleague identifiers out of your entries.

Why keep your record here?

A little less scattered.
A lot more yours.

Capture the thought while it is fresh

Use Quick Log and your personal QR shortcut to open your log on your phone. Return to the reflection when you have space to think.

Get beyond 'attended a course'

Keep what you learned, how it applies and the difference it could make together. Your own words, at your own pace.

Keep a record through every move

Practice, industry, contracting or a move between firms: use the same personal account. Your employer does not automatically get access to your private reflections.

Bring the evidence with you

Attach certificates to CPD entries and export a PDF or CSV when you want a copy or something to share.

Small habits, meaningful learning

Your CPD can grow from the things you already learn.

A technical update. A short course. Time reflecting on a tricky file. Explore a monthly rhythm that keeps your declaration easy.

ACCA's unit route asks for 40 units a year, including 21 verifiable. ICAEW minimum hours depend on your CPD category, with category-specific verifiable requirements. Check your own body's current rules; this planner illustrates the ACCA unit route only.

Find your monthly rhythm

Planning against 40 units a year.

Your illustrative annual total

36 hours / year

4 more hours to plan towards a 40-hour year.

A planning illustration, not a compliance check or saved CPD entry. Only relevant, completed learning with reflection belongs in your record.

Alongside your official record

Your Passport and your professional body have different jobs.

Passport gives your learning and evidence a personal home. Your annual declaration still goes to ACCA, ICAEW or your own body.

We do not submit records to any professional body. Follow your body's current CPD rules.

For practice partners and finance directors

Support development. Leave room for the person.

Bring training, AML refreshers and development into one place. Passport for Teams gives you oversight, while personal reflections stay private unless shared.

Organisation features require an eligible paid plan and authorised manager access.

A few things worth knowing

Does Passport replace my ACCA or ICAEW declaration?
No. You still declare through your body. Passport helps you organise CPD and evidence through the year.
What is free, and what needs PassportPro?
Your personal Passport is free, with no trial or card details. Record activities and reflections, attach evidence, set your own hours target, import a CSV and export your record. PassportPro is optional and adds features including AI reflection coaching, certificate reading and the Training Locker.
Can I separate verifiable and non-verifiable CPD?
Yes. Record the activity type and attach evidence, then export what you need.
What happens when I change firm or move into industry?
Your personal Passport belongs to you, not your employer. Keep using the same account through every move, so your learning history comes with you.
Can my employer see my personal reflections?
Not automatically. You choose what to export or share from your personal record. Keep client and colleague identifiers out of your reflections. Separate organisation training records may be visible to authorised managers.
