The CMI Code of Practice expects members to keep developing, and CMI inspects samples of members' CPD records. There is no fixed number of hours, so a consistent, well-structured record matters more than volume. Chartered Managers must maintain their CPD record and submit it if requested, and CMI accepts records in any clear electronic format.

Is this CMI CPD log free?
Yes. Individual accounts are free permanently, with no card details and no trial period.
How many CPD hours does CMI require?
CMI sets no fixed hours. It expects members to keep developing under its Code of Practice and to maintain records of their CPD, which are inspected through sampling. Chartered Managers must keep their records up to date and submit them if asked.
What counts as CMI CPD?
Courses, qualifications, conferences, webinars, reading, research, mentoring, coaching and reflective learning from your management practice all count. CMI accepts records in any electronic format that shows a structured approach.
Does this replace CMI's own CPD tool?
No. CMI offers its own recording tool, but you are not obliged to use it. Many members keep a personal record in a format they own, so their history stays with them throughout their career.
Can I add CPD I have already done this year?
Yes. Backdate entries one by one or import a CSV from Excel or Google Sheets.
